If you ever find yourself walking through Pintos Vaddo in Bastora, you might notice Gods Gift House. That is where we operate Educators Trust India. It is not some high-rise office building with glass walls. Instead, it is a sturdy old place that fits right into the Goa landscape. Most of our mornings start with the sound of local birds and the rustle of the trees outside. We spend a lot of our time sitting at old wooden desks, sorting through papers and taking calls. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are almost always humming in the background while we work. The people who work here have been around for a long time, so we all know how the others take their tea. We do not have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, if someone comes by, they just tap on the door and walk in. It is a quiet kind of life here in Bastora, away from the crowded parts of the state. We mostly just focus on the day-to-day tasks that keep the trust running. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and chat. It is a simple setup, really. We are just a group of people trying to get things done from this house, and we have been doing it this way for quite a while now without much fuss.
