Dr Sonu Kamat Maternity Orthopedic And Surgical Hospital is located near the church in Curchorem. It is a bit of a busy spot because we handle a few different things here. On one side you have the maternity cases and on the other there are people coming in for orthopedic issues or surgeries. It makes for a strange mix in the waiting room sometimes. The building itself is an older one in Curchorem and we have been here for a good while. When the church bells ring nearby you can hear them pretty clearly inside the wards. Dr Sonu Kamat is usually around the halls moving between the different sections. We do not have a fancy lobby with velvet chairs or anything like that. It is just a regular hospital with plain walls and tiled floors that we mop down several times a day. People from the neighborhood know us well and often just walk in to ask a question. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you are not used to them. We have some benches outside for when it gets crowded during the afternoon hours. It is not a quiet place by any means especially when there is a lot of traffic on the road outside. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The staff mostly lives nearby so we see familiar faces every day. It is just how things are run here in this part of town.
