At Dr Rajesh Bhatkurse Omkar Clinic, we’ve been operating out of the Shiv Sagar Apartments for many years now. We are right opposite the Hanuman Theatre in Mapusa. That theatre is a pretty big landmark, so if you can find that, you can find us. Mapuca is a busy place, and our corner of it is no exception. We get a lot of people coming in who are just passing through or living nearby in the apartments. The clinic is called Omkar Clinic, but most folks just call it Dr. Rajesh’s place. It’s located on the ground level which makes it easier for people who aren't moving so well. Inside, it's pretty basic. We have a few benches for waiting and a small desk where we keep the patient files. We don’t spend money on fancy advertisements because we’ve always had enough to do just by being here. Sometimes it gets a little loud with the traffic outside the apartments, but that’s just life in Mapusa. We open up in the morning and stay open until the afternoon break, then come back later. It’s a routine we’ve stuck to for a long time. Dr. Bhatkurse is usually busy in the exam room, so the rest of us try to keep the lobby organized. We don't have any big mission statements on the wall, just a calendar and maybe a clock that is usually a few minutes fast compared to the phones.
