Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Goa

Our office is tucked away in River Heights Apartments, specifically Flat No. 1/C. It’s in Adarsh Nagar, which is a fairly quiet part of Chicalim if you know the Vasco Da Gama area in Goa. Most people expect us to be right on the beach, but a lot of the actual day-to-day coordination happens right here in this apartment block. We have been here for a while, dealing with the humidity and the slow pace of life that Goa is famous for. The walls of the flat are lined with folders and schedules for the hotel operations. It can get a bit cramped when the whole team is in for a meeting, but we make it work. Outside the window, you can see the neighborhood going about its business, people heading to the market or kids playing near the stairs. We handle a lot of the phone calls and emails from here. It is different from the polished front desk of a big resort, but it is where the real grease for the wheels is applied. Sometimes the electricity goes out during the monsoon and we just sit there waiting for the generator or the light to come back so we can finish the reports. It’s just how things go around here. We know the local shopkeepers by name and they know we are the ones working on the hotel stuff from the corner flat. It feels more like a home than a corporate space.
