Started the shop here in Porbu-Vaddo because it’s where we grew up. Being on Diwar island means things move a bit slower than in the city, but we like it that way. Most days you’ll find us in the workshop messing with the CNC machines. It’s a lot of metal dust and oil, but someone has to do it. The ferry ride over from the mainland is just part of the routine now. Piedade is a quiet spot, and sometimes it's hard getting parts delivered all the way out here to Ilhas-Goa, but we manage. We aren’t some big factory with thousands of people. It’s just us doing engineering work for local folks and whoever needs precision parts. Sometimes the power goes out when it rains too hard, so we just sit back and wait it out with some tea. People around here know where to find us. We keep the doors open most of the time. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always running. We don't have a fancy reception or anything, just the machines and a few desks piled with drawings. If you come by, you’ll probably see my brother or me covered in grease. That’s just how it is. We’ve been here a while and plan to stay. It's a good life in Goa, even when the work is heavy. We aren't trying to be anything we're not, just a small engineering outfit in a beautiful part of the world.
