Avr is located over in St Francis Colony in Cabesa, which is part of St Cruz in Panaji. It is a quiet residential spot, not like the busy tourist areas people usually think of when they talk about Goa. We work out of the house here with Krishna Mane and Rasika Mane. It is a small operation, really just a few of us handling the daily tasks that come our way. The office is basically a room set aside with some desks and a printer that jams way too often. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at the computers. Since it is a neighborhood, we see the same people walking their dogs every morning while we are starting work. It is nice because it doesn't feel like a cold corporate office. We have our own rhythm here. Sometimes we take a break for tea and talk about what needs to be finished by Friday. The address is easy to find if you know the colony. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find out about us through word of mouth or if they live nearby. It is just a straightforward way to earn a living. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the kitchen table if we aren't careful. It’s just how we run things at Avr. There is always someone around if you need to drop something off.
