You can find us tucked away in Taleigao, right behind Kartik Metal. It’s a bit of a quiet spot in Tambdi Matti, not too far from the Branco Bar. If you’re familiar with this part of the neighborhood, you know it’s mostly houses and small shops. We started this because we wanted to do something with food right here at home. It’s a small operation, mostly family and a couple of helpers from the area. The kitchen is always busy, especially in the mornings when we start prepping everything. There’s usually a lot of steam and the smell of spices in the air. We don’t have a big storefront with neon lights or anything. Most of the time, people just know we’re here. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but that keeps things peaceful. We try to keep things simple and honest. We’re not trying to be a big fancy restaurant chain. It’s just us making food that we’d be happy to eat ourselves. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, but that’s just part of how we work. The rainy season can be a bit of a challenge with the muddy roads around here, but we manage. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and we like the neighbors. It feels like a real part of the community here in Taleigao. There isn't much more to it than that, just a local kitchen doing its thing.
