Architect Yogesh & Associates

Our office is number five on the second floor of Magnum Chambers in Panaji. We are right across from St. Inez Church, which is a good landmark if you’re looking for us. It’s a nice part of Goa to work in. We do architecture, but we don't make a big fuss about it. It’s mostly Yogesh and a few assistants here. We spend our time working on plans for houses and some commercial buildings around the city. The office is simple—just some tables, chairs, and a lot of rolled-up plans. We get a nice breeze through the windows sometimes, which is good because it can get quite warm. We aren't looking to be the biggest firm in town. We just like doing good work for the people who come to us. We’ve seen Panaji change a lot over the years, with new buildings popping up everywhere. We try to keep our designs sensible for the local climate and the way people live here. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If someone comes in with an idea, we tell them honestly if it will work or not. We’d rather be upfront about costs and time than tell people what they want to hear just to get a contract. It’s a small, local practice and we like it that way. Most of our day is just drawing and chatting with builders. We sometimes stay a little later to finish a difficult sketch.
