Ahiliabai Sardesai

This office is over at Plot No. 301 in Lotus Court. If you know Panaji, you know the St. Inez Junction gets pretty crowded, especially when the school across the way lets out. Ahiliabai Sardesai is the name on the plate, and we’ve been here at M.G. Road for a good while now. The building is one of those typical ones you see around here, nothing too special to look at from the street. It’s on the third floor, so we get a bit of a breeze if we leave the balcony door open, which helps when the Goa humidity really kicks in during May. Most of the time, it’s just us and the sound of the traffic below. The lift in Lotus Court is a bit moody, so sometimes we just take the stairs to stay moving. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get inside and shut the door against the street noise. We spend our mornings going through whatever needs finishing and checking the mail that the postman drops off downstairs. There’s a small café nearby where we usually grab a quick bite, and the owners there know us by name now. It’s a decent place to work, right in the middle of everything but still tucked away enough to get some peace. We don’t really do much to decorate the place, just some old chairs and a big desk that’s seen better days. It works for what we need.
