Abletree Foundation

Abletree Foundation is tucked away at House No. 589 in Attafondem, Moira. If you know Moira, you know it’s a pretty green and peaceful part of Bardez. We set up here because it’s where we live. The house is old but it stays cool in the heat. We spend most of our mornings sitting on the porch talking about what needs to be done. It’s North Goa, so things don’t always happen fast, and we’re okay with that. We focus on the things that matter to the folks living in Attafondem and the surrounding villages. Sometimes we’re out in the fields, other times we’re just sitting around the table at 589 trying to sort out logistics. We don't use any big words or have fancy presentations. It is just us, a few laptops, and a lot of local knowledge. The neighbors often drop by to say hello or bring some fruit from their trees. We listen more than we talk. That's how we find out what’s actually going on with people. It’s a humble way to run things, but it works for us. We don't have a secretary or a lobby. If the gate is open, we are usually around. We just want to see our part of Bardez do well. There’s no big mystery to it, just local people looking out for one another in a place we love. We hope to stay here for a long time doing this simple work.
