Visual Point

Visual Point is located at Shop No 7/79 in the Jwala Nagar area of Shahdara. If you are familiar with Pandav Road, you probably know how tight the streets can get around here. Our shop is one of many in this row, and we have been here long enough that the neighboring shopkeepers are like family to us. The space inside isn’t very large, so we have to be careful about where we put things. Usually, there are boxes near the door and a small counter where we handle most of our work. The fan on the ceiling makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving on those really hot Delhi afternoons. We open up pretty early most days, pulling up the heavy metal shutter and sweeping the front step before the dust from the road starts settling. Customers usually find us by asking around or just spotting the sign while they are walking down the lane. There is a lot of noise from the bikes and rickshaws outside, but that is just Shahdara for you. We keep a small kettle in the back for making tea when there is a break in the work. It’s a humble spot, nothing like the big showrooms you see in the malls, but it serves us well. We just focus on getting through the pile of work we have for the day and then heading home when the sun goes down.
