Vikas General Store

Our store is located at Plot Number A-278 on the Main Circular Road in Sonia Vihar. It’s a busy spot because the circular road carries a lot of the traffic through this part of Delhi. Vikas General Store is exactly what it sounds like—a place where we keep all sorts of things people might need for their daily lives. We’ve got shelves full of different items. It can get a bit tight in the aisles when we get a big delivery in. I spend most of my day behind the counter or restocking things that have run out. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what people want, but we handle it as it comes. The noise from the road is pretty much constant. You get used to it after a while. We know most of the people who come in by name since they live just a few streets away. It’s a community thing, really. Sometimes kids come in for snacks, and other times it’s parents looking for something they forgot for dinner. We don’t have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just a regular shop with regular people working inside. We open early and stay open until late to make sure we’re here when folks need us. It's a simple life, but it keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood. We are just a local shop and that is fine by us.
