We are tucked away in Gali No-23 in Gokal Pur village. It is a bit of a maze to find us if you are not from around this part of Delhi. Unnati Mercantile Pvt. Ltd. has been at C-172 for a while now. The street is usually narrow and full of life, with kids playing and neighbors chatting. Our office is a simple room that stays cool in the summer because of the thick walls. We have a couple of desks and some old chairs where we sit and talk to customers. It is not a corporate setup with glass walls or anything. We mostly deal with local folks and small businesses nearby. The traffic in Gokal Pur can be a headache, especially on market days. We start our mornings quite early to beat the heat and the noise. There is a small tea shop just two doors down that makes the best chai in the area. We often have a few files scattered around the desk because things move fast here. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use much technology besides the basics needed for records. Most people just walk in through the door if they need something. It feels like being part of a big family in the village. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. That is the way we like it.
