United Council For Citizen

United Council For Citizen is over at K-91 in Gali Number 52. We are based in Sadat Pur Extension, which is a bit of a trek if you aren't from this side of town. Our place is simple and we don’t have any fancy furniture. We mostly focus on things that matter to the average person living around here. Whether it is about the local roads or how things are run in the neighborhood, we try to stay involved. It’s more of a community thing than anything else. We don't have a big budget or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who wanted to see things get a little bit better for everyone. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors in Gali 52 and the surrounding streets. Sadat Pur Ext can be a tough place sometimes, but the people are good. We help out where we can, whether it's with paperwork or just giving advice on how to talk to the local authorities. It is not always exciting work and there is a lot of waiting around sometimes. But we think it’s important to have a voice. Our door is usually open for anyone who needs to chat. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little corner of it. It’s honest work and it keeps us grounded in the reality of the city.
