Swaraj Advertising

Swaraj Advertising is over at 529/E in East Babarpur. We are on Street No 4 in Shahdara, which is a lively part of town to be in. The shop has been here for years, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever found the time between jobs. We do a lot of signs and boards, so there are always half-finished projects leaning against the counters. The floor is usually covered in bits of plastic or metal shavings from the cutting work. It is loud sometimes because of the tools we use, but the neighbors don't seem to mind much. Shahdara is always moving, and we are just one small part of that daily rush. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. There is a small window that lets in some light, but mostly we rely on the overhead tubes to see. We don't have a big website or anything like that, just people who walk in or call us because they saw our work somewhere else. Sometimes we run out of space and have to move things onto the sidewalk for a bit while we load the truck. It is a honest way to make a living, even if the work is physical and tiring. We just keep our heads down and get the signs ready for whoever needs them. The noise of the street is constant, but you stop hearing it after an hour.
