Slick India Master Camera Company

Slick India Master Camera Company is located up on the first floor at 28399 Vishwas Nagar, right in Shankar Gali. It’s a bit of a maze getting back into the Gali if you aren’t used to the neighborhood, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home to us. The stairs are narrow, and we’re always carrying tripods or heavy camera bags up and down. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with gear and parts. We deal with a lot of cameras, so there are always lenses lying around and tiny screws on the workbenches. It’s not the cleanest office you’ve ever seen, but it’s a real working shop. We spend most of our time repairing things or checking out new equipment that comes in. My brother and I run the place mostly. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people find us by word of mouth in the camera community. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans going. We aren't corporate people. We’re just folks who know cameras inside and out. If something is broken, we try our best to fix it with what we have on the shelf. Sometimes we stay late when a big job comes in, just eating some food at the desk and working through it. It’s a good way to make a living, even if it’s a bit cramped in here.
