I have been working out of C 103 in Bhajanpura for quite a while. This area is always full of life and people looking for a place to stay or a bit of land to buy. Dealing with property is mostly about knowing who is moving and who is selling. I spend a lot of my morning just walking around the blocks or sitting at my desk waiting for the phone to ring. My office isn't very big, just enough for a couple of chairs and some files stacked in the corner. I don't really do the big advertising thing. Most people just hear about me from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s about keeping track of which house is vacant and what the current rates are in this part of Delhi. Sometimes I have to go out and show a flat to a family, even if it's raining or very hot. There is a lot of paperwork involved, which can be a bit of a headache with all the stamps and signatures needed. I try to keep it honest with people about the water supply or the electricity in certain buildings. Bhajanpura is a crowded place, but it's where I know everyone. My neighbors often drop in for a chat even if they aren't looking for a house. It is a simple way of making a living, just helping people find a roof over their heads without too much fuss.
