About Fine Seat Cover – Automobile in North East Delhi
Fine Seat Cover is tucked away in House No. 852/69, Gali No. 9, in Old Mustafabad. It is a narrow street, so it’s better if you come on a bike rather than a car. We have been here for years, sewing covers for cars, bikes, and even some furniture sometimes. The shop is filled with the smell of new leather and rexine. We have a couple of old sewing machines that have been running forever. They make a rhythmic clicking sound that we don’t even notice anymore. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking down the lane. We spend our days cutting fabric and fitting it over old seats to make them look new again. Sometimes the material is tough to work with, and our fingers get sore from pulling it tight. We have rolls of different colors stacked against the walls. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We take our time with each job because if the cover isn't tight, it won't last. The neighborhood is always alive with people talking and kids playing. We stop for tea a few times a day when the vendor comes around. It’s just a small family-run type of thing. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just trying to do a good job for the people who bring their vehicles to us. We keep a radio playing in the corner to help the time pass by faster when we have a big pile of work.
