Working at F-144 in New Seelampur means you get used to the grit and the noise. We deal with fiberglass, which is a messy job but someone has to do it. The workshop is usually covered in a fine layer of white dust. We wear masks, but you still feel it on your skin at the end of the day. The building is an old one, typical for this part of Seelampur. We’ve got different sections for cutting and molding. It’s not a place for clean clothes or polished shoes. Most of the time, the air smells like resin. We have been here for a good stretch of years now. Our neighbors are mostly other small factories and workshops, so nobody complains about the sound of the saws. We start early, usually before the heat of the day really kicks in. The space is crowded with molds and finished pieces waiting to go out. We don’t have a proper reception area; if you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in the back with the tools. We just take orders and get them done as they come in. Sometimes we run behind when the materials are late, but we manage to catch up. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we know. We just focus on making things that don’t break and getting through the daily list. It's a long day but the work is solid and keeps us busy from morning till night.
