Mahavati Sewa Foundation

We are the Mahavati Sewa Foundation, and you can find us over in Ashok Nagar in the Shahdara area of Delhi. Our office is located at D-888 in Gali Number 13. It is a typical narrow lane, so it can get a bit crowded with parked bikes and people walking by all day. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a bit, and it’s where we do all our planning and paperwork. It’s not a large or fancy office, just a few rooms where we can sit down and get our work done. We usually start the day with a quick cup of tea and a look at what needs to be finished. There aren't any big bosses here, just a small team of us who live nearby and want to be useful. Shahdara is a lively place to be, and there is always some noise or activity happening right outside our door. Sometimes the power goes out during the peak of summer, but we just open the windows and keep going as best we can. We meet with a lot of people from the neighborhood who need help with various small things. It’s very practical, hands-on work. We aren't trying to be some big national organization; we just focus on what’s happening in our own backyard. If you’re ever walking down Gali 13, you’ll probably see us through the doorway or standing out front for a break.
