Khadi Paper India

Khadi Paper India is located over in Shahdara, specifically at 94/2, Shiv Mandir Gali on Hanuman Road. It is a busy little area, and our workshop is right in the middle of all the noise. If you walk down the lane, you can usually tell which building is ours by the stacks of raw materials sitting outside. We work with paper, but not the smooth, white kind you get in a regular stationery store. Our stuff has a lot of texture and character to it. The process is actually kind of messy, and there is often water on the floor or wooden screens drying in the sun if the weather is good. It is a very hands-on job for everyone here. We do not have big automated machines; it is mostly just us doing the work by hand. The office part is just a simple desk in the corner with a lot of files piled up. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the space we take up on the street, but we have been here long enough that everyone just gets along now. Babarpur is a crowded place, so we have to be very organized with how we use our space. We spend our days making sheets, cutting them to the right size, and packing them for orders. It is slow work, and you cannot really rush it if you want it to turn out right. We just take it day by day.
