Jyoti Clinic & Nursing Home

We are over in East Jyoti Nagar, specifically at B/32/E, right in the Durgapuri area. This place is a mix of a clinic and a nursing home, so we have a few more beds than a regular doctor's office. It’s not a huge facility, but we manage to take care of people who need to stay for a day or two. The building is a bit older and has that solid feel to it. You can see the Durgapuri market from the end of our street, so there’s always something happening nearby. We have a small staff who have been here for a long time, so we all know how to work around each other in the small hallways. The nursing station is usually piled with charts and a few half-empty water bottles. We don't have a fancy cafeteria, but there’s a tea stall just outside where everyone goes. The rooms are simple with white linens and basic metal frames for the beds. It’s often a bit loud because of the families visiting, but we think it’s better than a place that’s too quiet and cold. We handle everything from minor checkups to patients who need a bit more looking after overnight. The paint is peeling a little near the ceiling in the back, but the place is kept clean. People come to us because we’re right here in the neighborhood and they don’t have to travel far.
