Ishu Arts

You can find us over on Loni Road in Shahdara. The address for Ishu Arts is 1/3819, Bhagwan Pur Kheda, and it’s a pretty lively area to be in. There is always a lot of movement on the road, and sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but we don't mind much. We spend most of our time working on different art pieces and projects that come our way. The workshop is full of tools and materials that we’ve gathered over the years. It’s not a clean, white gallery space; it’s a place where things actually get made. We have paint stains on the floor and scraps of things in the corners. That’s just part of the process. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule. We work when there’s work to be done, and sometimes that means staying late when the street outside finally goes quiet. It’s a local business, through and through. We know the people who live nearby and the guys who run the shops down the street. We just try to make things that people will like without making it seem like a big deal. It’s honest work, and we enjoy being part of the Shahdara community. Every day is a bit different, depending on what project is sitting on the workbench. It’s a bit messy, a bit loud, but it’s ours and we like it. Sometimes we have to move the bikes out of the way just to get the larger pieces out.
