Hughes & Hughes Chem Ltd

We are located at B-1/204 in Yamuna Vihar, which is up in the northern part of Delhi. If you know Delhi, you know how Yamuna Vihar is—it’s a big residential area with lots of blocks and it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't local. Our office for Hughes & Hughes Chem Ltd is right there in the middle of it. The building is a standard Delhi structure, a few floors high with those narrow balconies. It’s usually quite dusty because of all the traffic on the main road nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the desks. The stairs are a bit steep, so you get a little workout every time you come in. Inside, it’s just a normal workplace with computers, some filing cabinets, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, where you can watch the cycle rickshaws go by. The power cuts in the summer can be a pain, but we have a backup that keeps the fans spinning at least. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing; we are just a bunch of people trying to keep the business running smoothly. It’s a busy, noisy, and somewhat messy environment, but it feels honest and we get things done our way without any of that fancy talk. Most of the people around here know us and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while now.
