Directorate Of Health Services

This is the office at F-17 in the Swasthya Sewa Nideshalaya Bhawan. We are located in Shahdara, specifically the Karkardooma area of Delhi. It’s a government building, so it looks exactly like you’d expect a place like this to look. There are long hallways, lots of files stacked up, and people moving around with a lot of purpose. We handle much of the health service coordination for this part of the city. It’s not a flashy job by any means. Most of our day is spent at desks or in various meetings. There’s no big sign with bright lights outside, just the official name painted on the door. The area outside is always busy with people coming to the courts or the other nearby offices. We have a lot of paperwork to get through every single day. It’s a bit dry, I suppose, but someone has to do it. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually a nice break for everyone. We aren't here to sell anyone anything. We just manage the services as best as we can given the resources we are given. It’s a big system and we are just one small part of it. The building itself is older and has that specific smell of old paper and blue ink. It’s a very practical environment. We just show up, do the filing, answer the phones, and then head back home to our families.
