Bharatrohan Innovation Foundation

Yamuna Vihar is a quiet residential part of East Delhi, and that’s where you’ll find us. We work out of House No. B1/315. It’s a proper house, not a commercial tower, so it feels very much like being at home. We have the Bharatrohan Innovation Foundation set up here, and the neighbors are used to seeing us coming and going. Sometimes it feels a bit weird to call it an innovation foundation when we’re just sitting in a living room converted into an office, but that’s the reality. We don’t have a big sign out front or a receptionist. If you knock on the door, one of us will just come and open it. It’s a very local way of doing things. The B1 block is generally peaceful, though you get the usual sounds of the neighborhood—dogs barking or someone washing their car. We like it here because it’s not as chaotic as the center of the city. We have our desks, our computers, and plenty of chai. It’s a simple setup, and we aren't trying to pretend it’s anything else. We focus on our work and try to stay out of the way. If things get a bit disorganized, we just take a Saturday to sort through the files. It’s an honest way to run things, and it keeps us connected to the ground and the local people who live near us. We just do what we can from our little office.
