If you are looking for us, we are in Gautam Puri, Gali Number 4. The address is a bit of a mouthful, T-394 Kh No 178, but most people around here just look for the old T344/1 area. It is a real local neighborhood, very lived-in and busy all day long. We set up our shop here because we wanted to be right where the people are. We do skill training, which basically means we help people learn things they can actually use to get a job later on. We are not some big shiny center with glass walls and carpets. It is a practical space where we can sit down and get to the work. The street outside is always noisy with people and rickshaws, but that is just Gautam Puri for you. Inside, we try to keep things quiet and focused. We have some basic equipment and we spend our time teaching whatever skills people are asking for. It is not always pretty, and sometimes we are figuring things out as we go, but we are honest with people about it. We have had all sorts of folks come through those doors. Some are young kids looking for their very first break, while others are older people trying to learn something new. We do not have a big mission statement or anything. We just saw a need for better skills in our area and we try to fill it. It is a small operation, but it keeps us on our toes every single day.
