Amit Clinic

It’s been quite a long time since we first opened up here in New Usmanpur. Most people who live around Pehla Pusta or near Shastri Park have probably walked past our door at B 55 at some point. It’s a really busy part of the neighborhood, and the street noise never really stops. We’ve grown used to the sound of rickshaws and people shouting outside. Every morning, we pull up the shutters and start the day by sweeping out the dust that blows in from the main road. It’s not a fancy place, just a simple clinic where we do our work. We don't have a big team of receptionists or a shiny waiting room with a television. It’s mostly just us and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. The walls are a bit plain, and maybe we should put up some more pictures, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We know a lot of the local shopkeepers around here, and we often see them when we step out for a quick tea. Being so close to the first pusta means there is always a lot of movement. Sometimes the clinic gets a bit crowded in the evenings, but we just try to get through the list of people one by one. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes at B 55, but it’s our spot and we’ve made it work for years. We just keep things practical and stay focused on whatever is right in front of us.
