R G Choudhury And Company

Our office is in Flat No 4 on the second floor of a building at 202 Apc Roy Road. This is over in the Birati area of Kolkata. It is a pretty old building, so the stairs can be a bit steep if you are not used to them. We spend most of our time inside this flat dealing with the daily work for R G Choudhury And Company. The windows look out onto the street, which is usually quite crowded with buses and people heading towards the station. Kolkata gets very humid, so the ceiling fans are almost always running at full speed. We have a few desks squeezed in and a small area where we keep the computer and the printer. It is not a corporate setup at all. It feels more like a home that someone turned into a workspace. We know the neighbors in the other flats, and sometimes we hear them going about their day. We drink a lot of tea while we go through our records and notes. The light in the afternoons is okay, but we have to turn the lamps on early when it rains. It is just a regular place where we show up every morning and try to get through the list of things to do before it’s time to go home to our families. We like it here because it is familiar and we don't need much else.
