Vishvkarma Industries

Vishvkarma Industries is tucked away in Village Alipur, specifically in Alipur Garhi. If you’re coming down G.T. Karnal Road, you have to look for Narela Road and head towards the park. We are right behind it, near the old Colour Factory. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you’re new to the village. The shop is small, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We do mostly metalwork and small industrial jobs. The name Vishvkarma means something to us, being related to building and creating things by hand. The yard is usually full of scrap metal and half-finished projects. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the main road. We don't have a big staff, just a few local men who have been working with their hands since they were kids. We take things one day at a time. If someone needs something fixed or a part made, they just walk in and ask. There isn’t much paperwork involved unless it’s absolutely necessary. We drink a lot of chai during the day to keep going. The noise of the grinders is constant, but you get used to it after a week. It’s a noisy, busy place but it feels like home to us. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making sure the jobs get done right so we can pay the bills and keep the lights on for another year.
