Our office is at Kh. No. 14/8 on the ground floor in Chandan Vihar. This is part of West Sant Nagar in the Kamalpur area. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you’re coming from the center of the city. The ground floor spot is handy because we don't have to deal with stairs when we have heavy things. The building is tucked away on a side street that gets pretty muddy when it rains. Inside, it’s mostly just one big room and a smaller one in the back for storage. We have some metal cupboards where we keep all the files and a few mismatched chairs for visitors. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. We don’t have any fancy branding or expensive signs. Most people find us by asking the neighbors where the association office is. It’s a very local operation. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in with different problems. Some days it’s quiet and we just catch up on writing letters or sorting files. Other days, the place is full of people and it gets quite loud. The tea man comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It is just a plain room in a plain building, but we’ve been here for a while now and the locals seem to know we are here to help out.
