Vijaya Safe Works

Vijaya Safe Works is located in the Laxmi Market area of Mangol Puri Khund. It’s a local spot where people come for all sorts of metal work. We mostly deal with safes and heavy security boxes. Our workshop is quite small and usually has a few half-finished safes sitting near the entrance. You can hear the sound of hammers hitting metal from down the street. It’s not a quiet neighborhood, and our shop adds to that. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us when they need something sturdy to keep their valuables in. We use heavy steel and old-fashioned locks. The paint smell is often quite strong because we finish everything right here in the back. Our desks are covered in keys, springs, and metal shavings. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is kept. The guys working here have been doing this for a long time. They don't need manuals to fix a lock or weld a hinge. It’s all based on experience. We aren't trying to be a big corporation. We just want to make things that work and don't break easily. Some days are slow, and we just sit outside the shop and chat with the neighbors. Other days, we are working late to finish a big heavy locker. It’s just a normal local business.
