Vejanti Impex Private Limited is right in the thick of things at Khari Baoli. Our shop is number 1879 on the ground floor in Kucha Chelan. If you’ve ever been to Khari Baoli, you know it’s the biggest spice market around. The air always smells like cumin, chili, and cardamom. It’s a very busy place to be. Our shop is where we manage all our import and export activities. It’s not a massive space, but in this part of town, every inch of ground floor space is valuable. We have shelves full of ledgers and samples. The floor is old stone and the door stays open most of the day to let in some air. People are constantly walking by, and there’s always the sound of carts being pushed over the uneven ground. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just buy and sell, making sure things get to where they are supposed to go. Our staff has been around this market for a long time. We know how the prices change and who to talk to for what. It’s a traditional way of life. We drink a lot of tea and handle a lot of paperwork. It’s loud and busy, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We have been part of this street for many years and know every corner of it well.
