Veerendra Kumar

Our place is in the old double storey building over at Farashkhana in Lajpat Nagar 2. It’s been our base for quite some time now, and Veerendra Kumar is usually here most days keeping an eye on things. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and serves us well enough for what we need. We don’t have any of those fancy modern glass walls or expensive leather chairs you see in big city offices. It’s just some basic desks, a few chairs for guests, and a lot of files that seem to grow every month. The street outside is always noisy with people moving about and vendors shouting, which you just get used to after a week or two. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit steep when you’re carrying heavy boxes up, but it keeps us fit. We have a small kettle in the corner for making tea, and that’s pretty much the center of our social life during break times. We don’t really go in for big marketing plans or anything like that. Most people who come here are regulars or people who heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks and making sure we haven't missed anything important. It’s a simple life, and we like being part of the local community here in Lajpat Nagar. We just show up, do what needs doing, and then head home.
