Veer Gift Emporium

You can find Veer Gift Emporium at 298 Dariba Kalan. If you know the Chandni Chowk area, you know how crowded and loud it gets every single day. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We have been in this lane for ages. It is famous for jewelry and silver, but we do our own thing with gifts and small items. The shop is narrow, like most places in this part of Old Delhi. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use a tall wooden ladder to reach things for customers. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We have fans running constantly to keep the air moving, but it is still very warm in the summer. My father started this place, and now I am here most days. We see all kinds of people, from tourists who look a bit lost to locals who have lived here their whole lives. We do not have a computer system; we just use a calculator and a paper bill book. It is how we have always done it. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people pushing carts. It is chaotic, but we would not want to be anywhere else. It feels like the heart of the city.
