V K Cards

Chawri Bazar is a crowded place, and we are right in the middle of it at Shri Ram Market. Our shop is number 3857/14. If you know this area, you know how busy the lanes get with people and carts moving everywhere. We deal with cards and paper all day long. It’s a bit of a maze getting here, but once you find the market, we aren't too hard to spot. The shelves are stacked high with different stocks. It smells like ink and paper most of the time. We’ve been here long enough that the noise outside doesn't bother us anymore. We just keep our heads down and get the printing or the sorting done. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My cousin helps out, and we have a couple of boys who handle the heavy lifting. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. We mostly talk to people face-to-face or over the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the market and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in old Delhi. People come to us because they know where we are and what we do. We don't use big words to describe the business. We just make cards and sell them to whoever needs them for a wedding or a function. It's simple work that we’ve been doing for years. We just keep the shop open and handle the orders as they come.
