Utthanam Foundation

Utthanam Foundation is located at House No 12 in West Sant Nagar, Burari. We’re on Street No 19 in the A2 block. It’s a residential area, so it feels very much like a community project. We run things right out of the house. It’s not a fancy office building with a lobby or anything. You just walk up the street and find the door. We started this because we saw a lot of things in North Delhi that needed attention. It could be anything from helping a neighbor with paperwork to organizing a small local event. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s mostly just family and a few friends who put in the hours. The place is always a bit cluttered with stuff we’re working on. We don't really have a set schedule; if someone needs something, they usually just come by. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us. We aren't interested in being a big name or having a polished image. We just want to be helpful to the people living on our street and the surrounding blocks. Burari has its own character, and we like being a part of that. It’s hard work and the days are long, but being right here in the middle of it makes it all feel much more direct and honest for everyone involved.
