Tanishka Enterprises

If you know Chawri Bazar, you know how crowded Gali Batashah can get. We are located on the first floor at number 137. Getting up the stairs with boxes is always a bit of a struggle, but we have gotten used to it over the years. Tanishka Enterprises is a small operation, and the space is mostly filled with whatever we are stocking that week. The noise from the street downstairs never really stops, and there is always someone shouting for a rickshaw to move. It is a chaotic place to work, but it has a lot of energy. We don’t have much in the way of decor. It’s just shelves, some old fans, and our ledgers. We spend most of our time counting items or checking orders for people who come in from out of town. The light in the hallway is a bit dim, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We don't use any fancy systems here. We just write things down and make sure the customers get what they paid for. It’s a lot of manual work, and by the time evening rolls around, we are usually pretty tired. But that’s just how life is in the market, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office. It is noisy and dusty, but it is our place of work and we stay busy.
