We run Surinder Catering Service from B-14 in the Hathi Khana section of Azad Market. It’s a noisy, bustling area, especially in the mornings when the supplies come in. Our kitchen isn't a showpiece; it’s a working space where things get done. There’s always the smell of spices or frying onions drifting out into the lane. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. Usually, when the phone rings, it’s someone asking about a wedding or a small family gathering. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know our way around a big pot of curry. The floors get wet, the steam fills the room, and everyone is usually shouting to be heard over the stove. It’s chaotic but it works for us. We started out just helping with local events and it grew from there. We don't use fancy terms for our food; it’s just the kind of stuff we’d eat at home, only in much bigger quantities. Being in Azad Market means we’re close to all the ingredients we need, which helps. We’re just a bunch of people who enjoy cooking and making sure there’s enough for everyone to eat. No frills, just plenty of food and hard work at B-14. When the day is over, we’re tired but it is a good kind of tired.
