Sudhir Die Maker

Our workshop is at O-123 in Section-1 of the DSIIDC Industrial Area in Bawana. Bawana is a huge place with a lot of different factories, but we have our own little corner here. We mostly spend our time making dies and working with different types of molds. It is very detailed work, even if the surroundings are a bit rough. The air in the industrial area can be quite heavy with smoke and dust from all the nearby units. Inside our shop, it’s all about the metal. We have various grinders and milling machines that have seen better days but still do the job. We don’t have any fancy titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed. Sometimes the owner is right there on the floor fixing a machine alongside the workers. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We don't have a website that gets updated or any glossy catalogs to show off. Most people just walk in or call us when they have a specific requirement. The lighting isn't great, and the benches are cluttered with calipers and bits of steel, but we know where everything is. Getting to Bawana every morning is a bit of a trek for some of us, but it’s where the work is. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure we don't waste any material. It’s a simple life of working with steel and making dies.
