We are right on Nai Sarak, at number 4416, directly opposite the old Marwari Katra. This area is famous for books and paper, so we fit right in with our calendars. The shop is narrow but goes back quite a way. It’s filled with the smell of paper and ink, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We have stacks of calendars everywhere, especially when the new year is approaching. That’s our busiest time, and the whole place gets quite frantic. The rest of the year is a bit slower, but there’s always something to do, like preparing designs or sorting out the warehouse. Nai Sarak is always crowded with students and shoppers, so there’s a constant stream of people passing by our door. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on this street, but we’ve managed to stay put. The building is old, with high ceilings and wooden shelves that have seen better days. We don't have a modern office setup. It’s just desks piled with samples and ledgers. We do our own thing and don't worry much about what others are doing. It’s a traditional kind of business. We talk to our customers, show them what we have, and hope they like the work. There’s a lot of history in this part of town and we feel like a small part of it. We just keep printing and selling, year after year.
