Our office for Sound Of Music India Pvt. Ltd. is at 917 in Dr. Mukherjee Nagar. If you know Delhi-110009, you know it’s a hub for people studying and living in tight quarters. The building is a typical one for this area, with stairs that have seen better days and a lot of activity on every floor. Inside our space, you’ll find some music equipment and a lot of cables, but it’s definitely not a high-end recording studio from the movies. It’s more of a business office where the administrative side of music gets handled. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at contracts and schedules. The street outside is usually full of students going to coaching classes, so there’s a constant hum of life coming through the walls. Sometimes we have to close the windows just to hear ourselves talk. It’s a bit cramped with all the desks and boxes of equipment, but we make it work. There is a small pantry where we make coffee, and that is usually the busiest spot in the morning. We don’t have any big signs or posters on the outside, so you have to know which door to knock on. It is an honest, hardworking place in the middle of a very busy part of North Delhi. We just keep our heads down and handle the music business stuff.
