We are Soni Auto Agencies and our shop is up on the third floor at 492, Rajan Kalan Gali. It’s in the Punjab Sharif area near Kashmere Gate. If you know Delhi, you know how hectic Kashmere Gate can get with all the auto parts and traffic. Being on the third floor means we carry a lot of stuff up and down the stairs. It’s good exercise but tiring. Our space is packed with parts for all sorts of vehicles. We know exactly where every bolt and gear is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. We’ve been in the auto trade for a long time. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years. We don't do much advertising. Word of mouth is usually how people find us. The air around here always smells a bit like oil and exhaust. It’s just the way it is in this part of town. We spend our days checking part numbers and talking to mechanics. We aren't a big showroom with shiny floors. It’s a working warehouse and office combined. Sometimes we have tea while we wait for a delivery to arrive. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just try to keep the wheels turning for our customers. We’re usually there from early morning until the market starts to close up. It’s a lot of stairs but we don’t mind. The view from the balcony isn't much but it's ours.
