Solo World

Our place, Solo World, is right in the middle of Brij Mohan Market in Chawri Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with the rickshaws and the laborers carrying heavy loads on their backs. Our address is 3593-94/19, and it’s basically a series of rooms filled to the ceiling with stock. It is always a bit dark inside the market lanes, so we have the tube lights on from the moment we open. The walls are a bit chipped and the stairs are narrow, but we’ve gotten used to navigating the space without bumping into things. Chawri Bazar is a loud place, with people shouting prices and bells ringing all day long. We spend most of our time counting items, packing boxes, and talking to the regulars who come in from all over the city. There isn't much room for a proper office, so we just have a small desk tucked into a corner where we handle the cash and the bills. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it’s on the high setting, but it keeps us cool enough. We usually get our tea from the same stall down the lane every morning. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy environment, but it’s where we’ve always been. We don’t really change much around here, we just keep the business running as usual in the heart of the old market.
