Shri Govardhan Gaushala Foundation

You’ll find us way up on the fourth floor at Naya Bans, in the 6330 building. This part of North Delhi is really old and the streets are very narrow, so getting here can be a bit of an adventure if you're driving. We’re part of the Shri Govardhan Gaushala Foundation. Our office isn’t the gaushala itself, obviously, but this is where we do all the administrative work and keep the records. Being on the fourth floor means we have a bit of a view of the rooftops in the Naya Bans area. It’s a lot of stairs to climb every morning, but it keeps us moving. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper. We spend our time managing the needs of the foundation, mostly just paperwork, calls, and planning for the animals. It’s not a quiet place because the neighborhood is always full of life and trade. Sometimes we have to shout over the noise from the street below. We don’t have much in the way of decorations, just the essentials like desks, some chairs, and plenty of files stacked up. It’s a very grounded way to work. We are just a small group of people trying to keep things organized for the foundation from this corner of Old Delhi. It’s busy, it’s loud, and it’s a bit dusty, but it’s where we get everything sorted out. We just take it one day at a time here without any pretense.
