Shree Mahadev Auto

If you go to Ram Bazar at Kashmere Gate, you will find Shree Mahadev Auto at Shop No 1/35. It is a small shop, like many others in this part of town, but we have got our own way of doing things. We sell auto parts, mostly for cars and small vehicles. The shelves are packed from the floor all the way to the ceiling with various boxes. Half the time, I am the only one who knows exactly where a specific bolt or gasket is hidden in the back. It is a loud area, with everyone shouting and horns honking outside in the street. We do not have air conditioning or a fancy waiting area for people. Customers just stand at the counter and tell us what they need for their car. Sometimes they bring the old, broken part in with them so we can match it up exactly. We try to be quick, but sometimes it takes a few minutes to find the right item in the stacks. We are not a big corporation. It is just a local business where we know many of our customers by name. We have seen the market change a lot over the years, but we stay right here in the same spot. Dealing with parts is a messy business, but it is what we know. We do not spend money on big ads. We just rely on people coming back.
