Sethi Traders

Sethi Traders is located at 57, Swadeshi Market in Sadar Bazar. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know it is one of the most crowded places you can find. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have been here for a long time, and the place hasn’t changed much over the years. We sell various goods in bulk, mostly to other shopkeepers who come in from out of town. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with stock. There is barely enough room for two people to stand comfortably, but we make it work. It is loud and dusty, and there is always someone shouting for a rickshaw outside. We don’t have a computer system or anything fancy. We use paper ledgers and pens to keep track of what goes out. It’s the way my father did it, and it still works fine for us. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day to keep going. The market opens early and stays busy until late in the evening. We don't do any marketing because everyone in the market knows where 57 Swadeshi Market is. We aren’t trying to be a big company. We are just local traders doing our daily business. Sometimes the heat is a bit much in the summer, but we have a small fan that helps. It’s a tough environment, but it is where we belong. We just keep moving and selling.
