Sangmeshwar Sewa Foundation

We are set up at Shop Number 13 in the commercial unit near the Ravi Dass Mandir. If you are walking down Peer Khana Road, you can't really miss the temple, and we are just right there in the adjoining section. Sangmeshwar Sewa Foundation has been in this little shop for a good while now. It is a busy spot because of the temple traffic, so there is always someone passing by the window. The space is tight, just enough for a few chairs and our paperwork. We do a lot of our work right here, talking to neighbors and trying to help out with local issues. It is a humble place, no doubt about it. The floor is a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in the corners, but we don't mind. It feels like home to us. We chose this spot specifically because it’s easy for people to find when they come for prayers. Often, someone will stop in after visiting the mandir just to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just sit here and do what we can. Usually, there is a pot of tea going and some old registers piled on the desk. It’s a practical way to run things without any extra fuss. Peer Khana Road gets crowded on weekends, so that’s when we are busiest. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs us.
