Samvedanalay Foundation

Our place is at T-11 in Jharera Village. It’s right there in Delhi Cantt. We spend our days here at Samvedanalay Foundation just doing the work that needs doing. It isn't a big operation with glass walls. We have a few desks and some chairs that have seen better days. People from around the village come by when they have something on their minds. We know the families on this street. Some of us have lived in Delhi Cantt for years. We’ve seen the area change, but the core stays the same. The traffic can get pretty loud during the day, so we usually keep the door shut. Inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the sound of someone making tea in the corner. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we need on pads of paper. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon heat, and we just sit outside for a bit. We don’t mind. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. We aren't trying to be a giant organization. We just want to be helpful here in Jharera. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We show up every morning, open the lock, and see what the day brings. It’s honest and simple. Nothing more to it.
