Saini Watch House & Mobile Gallery

Saini Watch House & Mobile Gallery is over at Wz-228 in Nangal Raya Naya Bazar. We ended up doing both watches and mobile phones because that’s what people in the neighborhood started asking for. In the morning, we set up the display for the watches and then clear a space for the mobile repair tools. It’s a bit of a mix, having old-style mechanical watches on one side and touchscreens on the other. Naya Bazar is a busy place, and there is always some truck or tempo blocking the road near the shop. We get a lot of local people from Nangal Raya who just need a quick screen guard or a new strap for their watch. The workbench is always crowded with tiny screws from phones and even tinier parts from watches, and sometimes it's hard to keep them separate. My shirt usually has a bit of dust on it by the end of the shift because of all the cleaning we do. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle these things. It gets quite hot in the summer months, and the fan overhead just moves the warm air around, but we keep working through it. People come in to chat as much as they do to get things fixed, so it feels like a community spot. We’ve been at Wz-228 for a long time now.
